Using Kid’s Natural Curiosity To Spark Healthier Food Choices

Beecher’s Pure Food Kids Foundation performs an experiment. In this video, they present kids with food packages and have them look over the ingredients, many unpronounceable and unrecognizable.

Americans are in the midst of a public health crisis…”spending 90% of their food budget on processed foods.” ~Eric Sholosser, Fast Food Nation

Red 40, Blue 1, BHT…these labels are a nightmare.

If we do not stem this tide, this generation of children will not outlive their parents. ~Eric M. Bost, Under Secretary for Food, Nutrition, and Consumer Services (FNCS)

The change has to start with us, and our kids. That’s where Beecher’s Pure Food Kids mission comes in!

The Pure Foods Kid’s Foundation turns more than 11,000 kids into food detectives every year…empowering them to make healthier food choices for life.

Kids are curious, so asking questions and getting them to seek answers is a wonderful way to engage them in more informed eating. Healthy eating workshops give children hands-on experience with real versus processed foods.
