The GREATEST Chicken Nugget Recipe Your Toddler Will LOVE!!

Easy to make! Easy to eat! Easy to love!   😆

The Chicken nugget. An American pastime, made famous (perhaps in a negative light) by McDonald’s and other fast food outlets, but they can actually be quite nutritious as well as delicious, if made with great ingredients and the right way!

I came across this brilliant recipe from SuperHealthyKids.com and had to share it. They are as pure and natural as it gets, but they look so delicious and fun that your little ones will likely inhale them upon sight.

Now, most of us would have made our own chicken nuggets by using little bite sized bits of chicken, roll them in eggs and breadcrumbs and throw them in the oven or fry pan. The problem with this is that young toddlers can find these difficult to chew, particularly if they’re lacking all of their teeth. That’s a reason why processed nuggets are so popular. They are just easier to ear.

Here’s the ‘unprocessed’ version, with the added benefit of them being able to be shaped into whatever you want!

So here we go…

  1. Boil five ounces of chicken breast for 20 minutes, but be careful not to over cook.

Grab a blender, and throw in…

  • The cooked chicken breast
  • 1 egg
  • a pinch of salt

Blend like mad ’till you have something that resembles this…

Now, pack the blended chicken breast into cookie cutters, before rolling them in bread crumbs.

“Then, place on a cookie sheet to bake.  I drizzled with a little butter, so they would come out crispier.. totally optional!” // superhealthykids.com

Bake at 400 for about 10 minutes and flip half way, grab your favourite dip and your favourite kids 😛 and you’re all set for nuggety goodness!
